 Scope: Talon One game servers (e.g., PVP/PVE), our Discord moderation bots, and this website (see “Website data”).
WHAT WE COLLECT
  • Steam identifiers & metadata: SteamID64, account creation time (from the Steam Web API), and (optionally) Steam persona name for labeling.
  • Connections for alt-detection: your Steam friends list  plus a simple graph of those connections.
  • Server activity: join/deny events and timestamps, which of our servers you joined (e.g., PVP or PVE), and whether your SteamID appears on our ban list(s).
 
  • Note: We do not collect device fingerprints or IP addresses via this bot. Discord and Steam may collect additional data under their own policies.
WHERE THE DATA COMES FROM
  • Steam Web API for account age and friends
  • Moderators for ban entries and reasons
WHY WE USE IT (LAWFUL BASIS)
  • Lawful basis: Legitimate Interests (GDPR Art. 6(1)(f)).
  • Purposes: keep gameplay fair and safe; detect cheating and ban-evasion (including family-sharing/alts); graphs providing connection context to moderators.
  • No automated bans. The bot raises alerts; human moderators review and decide.
WHO CAN SEE IT
  • Moderators only, in role-restricted channels
  • Discord and Steam as separate controllers when we post alerts or fetch the Web API
  • We do not sell your data or use it for advertising.
WHERE WE STORE IT & TRANSFERS
  • Stored privately on our server in an SQLite database and log files restricted to moderators.
  • Alerts/graphs may be posted in Discord, which can involve international transfers depending on where you access Discord/Steam.
HOW LONG WE KEEP IT (RETENTION)
  • We retain moderation data (including Steam IDs, connection graphs, and ban flags) indefinitely, unless you opt out or we no longer need it for moderation or community safety.
  • Opting out: if you opt out, we delete your records and keep only a minimal suppression token ( your SteamID64) so we do not re-collect your data if you reconnect.
  • Banned accounts: if your account is currently banned, we may retain the minimal ban record (SteamID + reason/status) while the ban is active and for a reasonable period afterward to enforce server rules.
YOUR RIGHTS (EU/EEA/UK)
  • You can request access, rectification, erasure, restriction, objection (to legitimate-interests processing), and portability where feasible.
  • We aim to respond within 30 days. You have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.
OPT-OUT & DELETION
  • On Discord, use:

  • Or email talononefightersquadron@gmail.com with your SteamID64. We may ask for simple proof of account control before deletion.
  • When we delete, we remove your records and keep only a suppression token so we do not re-collect your data if you reconnect.

CHILDREN
  • Our services are intended for players 13+. If you believe a child under the applicable age has provided data, contact us and we will delete it.
AUTOMATED DECISION-MAKING
  • We do not make decisions with legal or similarly significant effects solely by automated means. Moderators review all alerts.
CHANGES
  • We may update this policy to reflect tooling or legal changes. We will post updates in Discord and/or the server MOTD with a new “Last updated” date.

  • Open your Steam profile, copy the profile URL; the long numeric ID at the end is your SteamID64. A reputable SteamID lookup site also works.
